The Promo Community Comes Together in Time of Need

Thanksgiving weekend took a turn for the worse for one local promo industry family. The day after Thanksgiving, a fire broke out at the home of Rick Dolan, PCNA Field Sales Manager. Thanks to the quick action of the local fire department, he and his family are safe. Unfortunately, their house sustained internal and external damage and many items were lost.

The Dolan family is staying in a temporary home for four months while their home is being rebuilt. A local artist spread some holiday cheer following this challenging and unexpected hurdle by painting the family’s boarded-up garage, as shown below.

Promo Community In Action

After the house fire, Rick Dolan received a call from Karl Whiteside, Brand Addition’s St. Louis-based US Managing Director, that brought the Dolan family to tears. Karl had reached out to fellow industry supplier, SanMar, to provide the family with clothes while theirs was being professionally cleaned.

Karl then went above and beyond to organize a fundraiser for the Dolan family involving the Brand Addition team, Chuck Fandos, Chief Strategy Officer of The Pebble Group, and other industry professionals. He was able to present Rick and his wife, Treasa, with a very generous donation over dinner last week.

A Holiday Display

The promo industry and the relationships formed reach far beyond selling products, as shown by this incredible display of generosity and community.

“I am so blessed to be in this industry and to work with Brand Addition…I have been hearing from industry professionals daily and my PCNA associates have also been very supportive,”

Rick added. “This type of action reflects the character, partnership, integrity, and, most important, friendship, extended from Karl Whiteside, Chuck Fandos, the Brand Addition team and our entire industry.”
